Page Turners Book Club In-Person

Join us and discuss diverse reads by contemporary adult authors! This month's book is The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Page Turners Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. This book club primarily reads contemporary adult fiction books by a diversity of authors. We currently meet in-person and via Zoom. Physical copies of the current title for discussion are available to check out at the Library's Front Desk. New members are always welcome!

What if, instead of an economy based on competition, hoarding, and the concept of scarcity, we looked to nature for inspiration? Indigenous scientist Robin Wall Kimmerer examines the gift economy concept by looking at the serviceberry. The tree shares its wealth of berries with the community surrounding it, thus insuring its own survival.
