Page Turners Book Club Atmosphere In-Person
Join us and discuss diverse reads by contemporary adult authors! This month we discuss Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
Page Turners Book Club meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm. This book club primarily reads contemporary adult fiction books by a diversity of authors. We currently meet in-person and via Zoom. Physical copies of the current title for discussion are available to check out at the Library's Front Desk. New members are always welcome!
In this month's book, Joan, professor of physics and astronomy and aunt to Frances, finds an advertisement seeking women scientists to join NASA’s Space Shuttle program. In the summer of 1980, she begins training to become an astronaut at Houston’s Johnson Space Center. During her training, she develops a new passion and love. Then, on a mission in December of 1984 everything changes.
