Local Author Talk: Dreams of Freedom In-Person
Local author Marilyn Higgins presents her book Dreams of Freedom: An Irish woman's story of love, justice, and a young nation coming apart.
Higgins' novel captures the history, mystery, and power of upstate NY in the years leading up to the Civil War. Not unlike today, it was a time when Americans feared their nation was coming apart. Higgins will present on the inspirations behind her book, followed by a Q&A.
All ages.
